In the heart of the Euganean Hills Regional Park stands this seventeenth-century villa which, from the top of a hill, is reflected in the sulphurous water lakes of a wonderful spa garden designed by Giuseppe Jappelli. The Villa, in its noble rooms, houses a cycle of frescoes by the painter Luca Ferrari, dedicated to the mythical founder of the city of Padua: Antenore. To access the terraces that develop on the four sides of the villa, a monumental staircase of 144 steps must be climbed.
THE TOUR: You will leave with a taxi dedicated to you from your hotel and then reach the entrance of the Villa. There you will be greeted by the staff and directed to the starting point of the guided tour that lasts about an hour and a half. After a brief historical and architectural introduction you will visit the interiors of the villa that are spread over two floors completely frescoed. So, always accompanied by the guide, you will descend the secret staircase surrounded by oleanders to pass next to the ancient medieval oratory and finally move in the beautiful English garden where you will see exotic trees and centuries-old trees. After the visit of the garden of allegories, at the bottom of the monumental staircase, surrounded by the statues made when the villa was owned by the Emo Capodilista family, you will have free time to drink something at the cafeteria, sip the wine produced on the estate or walk along the avenue of liriodendrons, also called tulip trees. At the end of your tour the taxi will be outside the gates waiting for you to take you back to the hotel.
