Villa Dei Vescovi

Completata nel'500,grazie all'interesse di Alvise Cornaro amministratore dei beni della curia padovana, questo complesso si caratterizza per una serie di ampie logge aperte.Attraversate dai raggi del sole, esse creano dei particolari giochi di luce che si proiettano sui muri.Tale residenza era destinata ad ospitare gli alti prelati padovani.L'impianto di Villa dei Vescovi è a base quadrata e si adatta con naturalezza alla cima del colle su cui sorge, integrando l'architettura con la natura circostante.Le sale interne ospitano i pregevoli affreschi con temi anticheggianti del fiammingo Lambert Sustris, i quali purtroppo vennero gravemente alterati durante le varie fasi di ristrutturazione della villa.Nel 1962 Villa dei Vescovi venne ceduta alla famiglia olcese che la riportò all'antico splendore tramite importanti lavori di restauro e recupero delle superfici affrescate.Nel 2006 i proprietari la donarono al FAI (Fondo per l'Ambiente Italiano).
