Villa Contarini Piva in Valnogaredo, a frazione of Cinto Euganeo, developed in the 18th century at the behest of the noble Venetian family of Contarini, who modified it starting from an existing structure. In the same century, painters Andrea Urbani and Jacopo Guarana were called in to decorate the interiors. Subsequently, the villa passed to other owners and today it remains private and well-preserved.
Located just a few meters from the parish church in the heart of the village, on the gentle slope of the hills, the villa extends in length, with its L-shaped form due to the adjacency of two barchesse on the right side. The building has three floors, open on the first two floors by round-arched windows, which centrally on the noble floor group to form a trifora with a balustrade. The barchesse are three (two adjacent on the right and one independent on the left), characterized, according to the most common form, by full-round arches under which access was granted to means and parts of agricultural activities. In the main hall of the villa, the scenes painted by Guarana are preserved, among his most important works outside Venice, framed by the minor interventions of Urbani.
In front of the villa lies an Italian garden, offering a view of the hilly landscape, which is still mostly agricultural in the surrounding areas.
